Reading Homework: Reading logs are due each Monday
Writing Workshop: We will finish our Opinion writing pieces this week. Some students are already finished and are working on other projects like creating QR codes connected to their book reviews and starting to plan a lesson they would like to teach others at our upcoming Ed Camp. If your child is behind on their opinion writing, they may need to work on it at home.
Writing homework: Students are to write 10 minutes in their Writer's Notebooks on the topic of their choice. These are due each Wednesday.
Word Study: Unit 15 - Prefixes - multi-. per-, mega-/megalo-, micro-, poly-. Test will be Friday, May 8th.
Vocab 8 - Weekly vocabulary assignment due each Wednesday. Here is a copy of Vocab 8 teacher word challenge page, and here is a copy of the personal word Vocab 8 page. One word is given by teacher and the other word is a "new to them" word that a student finds in a book they are reading . Students should use a dictionary and a thesaurus for this assignment. The teacher challenge word this week is goblet.
